Untitled 18

An old lady accidentally walked into a gallery and saw a relatively simple abstract painting, she asked: “How much is it ?,” the gallery owner said: “10 dollars” , hearing this the Granny exclaimed “This piece of fabric is so dirty, I have to clean it at home and you are selling it at so expensive price! ” ( I made up the story of course)

I do not know whether you are satisfied with the interpretation, when you see one abstract painting or any abstract art piece , feel it with your heart, there is no need to tangle What it is , It is what you think is. That art piece is the world of the artist , if you like it then feel it with appreciations and enjoyments to feel being connected , if you do not like it just walk away as if it never existed. So Simple.

The world of the artist does not represent the world of everybody , Nor will the real artist do the passive creations that only for your pleasures and understandings.

So what is abstract art? Let us take a look at the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abstract_art: Abstract art uses a visual language of shape, form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. Abstraction indicates a departure from reality in depiction of imagery in art.
“Compared with other art Mediums , Photography is most realistic, Thus it is more difficult to use photography to achieve abstract meanings ….. abstract photographic images do not depict a specific target, but through lines, colors, block faces , shapes, compositions to convey emotions, stimulate people’s imaginations, inspiring people’s thinkings ….. impact forces generated by their works are different from one viewer from another … this is no longer just to use a camera to take the pictures , it is to use a photography as an art medium to express inner feelings , emotions, spirits and souls of expressions and communications.”

I always believe there are the differences between a photographer and an artist who has photography as an art medium.

I took this photo when I was visiting Museum Of Modern Art ( MoMA) in new York couple of years ago, there is a piece of black square paper on the wall, it is an contemporary art piece, inspired , I took a photo of it, since I did not bring the tripod , in the dim indoor lightings, I had to do it in an creative way, it came out to be one of my favorite abstract pieces. To me , it is so provocative that any word descriptions will destroy it. ” hmm… I see what you mean ….” will be perfect enough….

I gave it the title as ” Untitled 18″
